Background
Areim is an independent Nordic fund manager and property owner, founded and headquartered in Stockholm with offices in Copenhagen, Helsinki, Oslo, and London. We own and develop real estate and companies across the Nordic region within the light industrial, residential, office, retail, and data centre sectors.

The Role
We are seeking a business minded and detail-oriented analyst to join our expanding data centre team at Areim. This position offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the rapidly growing sector. As an integral part of the team, you will collaborate closely with various departments within Areim as well as external partners to drive our data centre initiatives forward. The role includes a broad scope within real estate private equity, including investment activities, reporting, and fund-raising activities, ensuring a steep learning curve. The position is based in Stockholm where you report to Head of Investment Sweden. The role will require some travelling, mainly within the Nordics.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Provide analytical support and conduct industry research for the data centre team.
  • Analyse potential acquisitions, evaluate business plans, assess development projects, and review major contracts.
  • Ongoing asset management of investments, including overseeing management incentive programs and ensuring consistent investment reporting.
  • Assist in reporting of the Funds’ holdings to investors
  • Prepare presentations for investors and Areim’s investment committee
  • Work in collaboration with multiple teams within Areim and with management teams in portfolio companies

Qualifications and Suitable Background

  • Team player with a drive for success
  • A problem-solver with a curious mindset
  • University degree (MSc) preferably in finance, business, or engineering
  • At least 1-2 years of full-time experience in a relevant field
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft 365, specifically in Excel (cash flow modelling, IRR- and NPV calculations), Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication abilities in both English and Swedish, encompassing both written and verbal skills
