Portfolio Manager to Areim
Areim is seeking a business-minded and motivated person to join the fund management team. The right candidate will be offered an advanced position within an entrepreneurial company operating in an international environment.
The role
As a Portfolio Manager you will be part of the growing fund management team at Areim. In cooperation with the Fund Manager you will be working to optimize the performance of the fund as well as the fund’s investments. Additionally, you will work as Portfolio Manager for Areim’s investments’ in light industrial across the Nordics. You will play a central role in Areim’s organization and will have close collaboration with the other teams, i.e Transaction Team, Asset Management and Controller/Finance Department, to ensure and implement the strategy of the Fund. The position is based in Stockholm and reports to Head of Fund Management. You may be required to do some travelling, mainly within the Nordics.
Key tasks and responsibilities
In cooperation with the Fund manager implement the strategy of the Fund. This includes:
- Ensure that activities in the Fund’s and underlying investments are in line with the Investment Agreement and Investment strategy.
- Participate in the assessment of potential acquisitions and divestments from a fund perspective.
- Support the Asset Manager’s, who are responsible for the fund’s investments, with implementation of the business plans for each investment and ensuring that decisions on investment level are in line with the fund strategy.
- Monitor the external financing of investments/portfolio during the holding period.
- Together with the Investor Relation team and the Fund Manager establish a close relationship with the investors of the Fund.
- In cooperation with the Fund Controllers ensure correct and timely reporting to investors e.g. quarterly reports and respond to ad hoc requests from investors.
For all investments within the light industrial segment, have the responsibility of the portfolio management, including:
- Manage the Funds light industrial investments with from a fund perspective.
- Participate in the assessment of potential acquisitions and divestments from a fund perspective.
- Support the Asset Manager’s, who are responsible for the assets, with implementation of the business plans for each asset and ensuring that activities on asset level are in line with the fund strategy.
- Monitor the external financing of the portfolios during the holding period
Qualifications and suitable background
- University degree in real estate or finance
- 5 – 7 years’ experience within Asset Management and/or Investments
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel (cash flow modelling, IRR- and NPV calculations),Word and Power Point
- Communication skills in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
- As a person you are an ambitious team player and a problem solver
